An atmospheric ambient album featuring 8 distinct tracks from Nick Webb (FARFIELD Records)
The title track is based on recordings of the "Severnside Sirens". These are warning sirens based along the coast from Avonmouth towards Clevedon in North Somerset. There are 12 siren stacks which would be used in the event of a chemical leak or fire on Avonmouth docks. The sirens are tested once a month and create a live "Steve Reich" style phase track. You hear the different sound sources coming in and out of phase as the sound travels from the various sirens.
This album is dedicated to the memory of Anna-Jane Vine. Track 7 is made from one short sample of her voice recorded in 2010.

HUGE! To say that I almost missed this incredible artist! If you like Yannick Dauby's field recording, the strangeness of Kassel Jaeger, the sound of Yves De Mey and the power of Abul Mogard, you will be absolutely fulfilled! It's so perfect, complete and intense. Really WOW! A must in my Bandcamp collection! drone2805
